On the day of May the 13th 2011 the electricity trading volume on the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) with delivery on the day of May the 14th 2011 amounted to 86 878,90 M Wh – what is the highest trading volume that has been recorded since the day of beginning of that Market, July 2000.

The DAM trading volume is growing from month to month according to “the liquidity attracts liquidity” principle. April of 2011, with its trading volume amounting to the level of 1,776 TWh, was the peak month. The present trading volume allows to come to a conclusion that also next record will be broken in May.
